Here Today… Here Tomorrow
Don Meyer, founder of D.G. Meyer Inc., was a patriot, as evidenced by the Eagle and Flag logo that adorns the wall on the side of the building that houses D.G. Meyer Inc. offices, sheet metal shop and warehouse. He was an ardent believer in the principles the United States was founded upon, with the traditional ideas of hard work, good service and honesty. Much of his life, and the many goals he set himself and achieved, revolved around the notion that if a person set his mind to succeeding, he could pull himself up by his metaphorical “bootstraps” and accomplish nearly anything.
When he started his business, as with all other facets of his life, he was in it for the long haul. It wasn’t a whim or a passing notion— though he was forward thinking and was never afraid to try new ideas or embrace change. He wanted to carve a niche in the business he had begun in and knew so much about. And he wanted it to be a model in the industry, a lasting legacy for his family and those he worked with who became like family along the way.
[ Note from Author: If anyone out there has anymore information on this picture or the men it portrays, I would welcome hearing from you.The words Here Today, Here Tomorrow were never just a tagline to Don Meyer. It was the idea he built his business on, with an eye constantly on the future even as he attended to the day-to-day necessities of building a lasting corporation. His vision kept D.G. Meyer Inc. evolving and relevant as the nature of the HVAC business grew and changed over time.
