Walking For Breast Cancer Awareness
Like so many people, we at D.G. Meyer Inc. have had family, friends and too many acquaintances tragically affected by Breast Cancer. So—again this year we donned our Pink Tees and joined 11,000 friends to walk and raise funds for Breast Cancer Research and Support.
The Making Strides Volusia-Flagler event took place on Saturday October 27th at 9:00 a.m. It was a beautiful fall day in Florida, dawning cool and crisp under brilliant blue skies streaked with high thin clouds. The breeze off of the river was a bit brisk, but we couldn’t have ordered a more perfect day for the Walk.
This year’s event raised a total of $307,186 to help support those facing breast cancer, and ultimately end the disease. Our D.G. Meyer Team, once again Captained by the beautiful and intrepid Brianna Toth, Office Administrator for the Company had— officially— seven members, but at least twice that number including friends and family turned out to walk with us. We raised over $600 again this year.
What a Team!
… And we all had a great time. What a very good and useful way to spend a morning. Our Team ranged in age from one year old to mid-sixties. We are a Family company, and we brought many of them along. You’re never too young or too old to help your friends, your (extended) family and your community!
HighLights
We are so deeply grateful to all those who walked and to all those who donated to this worthy cause.
Thank You!
